COMMUNICATING ACROSS LANGUAGE BARRIERS
A practical workshop based course for staff who work with people who have limited English. The course offers an opportunity to develop the confidence, skills and knowledge to work with and without interpreters.
The course is supported by qualified interpreters (DPSI registered) and community volunteers

Developing a framework for successful engagement with new communities, exiles and migrants – the 4 cornerstones of good practice Communication, Awareness, Reciprocity and Engagement
UNDERSTANDING THE HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE NEEDS OF REFUGEES AND MIGRANTS
How does forced migration impact health, what health issues do refugees and migrants face in the UK? This course develops the awareness and understanding needed to achieve effective health and social care support for new populations unfamiliar with the UK health system
